Macson Mesh Industries (Pvt) Ltd is the leading manufacturer of wire and polymer based protection fencing products in Sri Lanka. Jehad Ariff and his brothers in 1965, to establish the de-facto standard for the popularly known ‘chain link’ fencing in the country stems from his heritage in the hardware trade as a former partner M/s Abdul Jabbar & Sons. Today, the MACSON range of galvanized and PVC coated wire mesh/fence fabric products and gabions manufactured to local and international standards are sought after not only in Sri Lanka but also by custom orders in the European, South African and Indian markets.

Our History
Founded as Macson Industries, Macson Mesh was the local solution to the import substitution era in the 1960’s in Sri Lanka. Soon the acid test in the formative years helped the company stave off intense competition from European, Chinese, Indian and other imports in establishing a product quality that met international standards.
In 1988, the organization transformed to Macson Mesh Industries (Pvt) Ltd, a limited liability company (LLC) towards achieving its vision of a market leader of wire products in Sri Lanka and the South Asian market.
Macson products are produced at its modern production facility at Horana in the capital district with easy all-island distribution access to highways and major road networks. This modern production facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and equipment is continuously upgraded to conform to major international standard specifications and production processes.

Chairman
Jezmi Ariff is the eldest son of founder Jehad Ariff. Jezmi took on the reigns of Macson Mesh Industries after the demise of his father, having been a career employee in the family business acquiring a wealth of experience in every aspect of the business and most importantly inheriting the business vision and wisdom of its founder.
YAKUB ARIFF
Managing Director
Yakub Ariff is the second son of founder Jehad Ariff. Yakub followed suit in the family tradition and joined the business after reading for his undergraduate education in Business Management. Having trained in all aspects of the business under the guidance of his father, he currently manages the overall strategic direction and operations of the complete Macson Mesh Industries network. With a penchant eye for quality and technological advancement, he finds himself most often in the midst of production operations. Taking on this role Yakub has set his sights on spearheading the next generation strategic transformation of the business with enhancing operational capacity, technological superiority and strengthening stakeholder relationship.
DASTAQUIR ISMAIL (Dasty)

Fondly known as Dasty in the Sri Lankan corporate world, Dastaquir Ismail possesses nearly 25 years of experience in the IT and production sector both, heading independent business units both locally and overseas, including setting up regional business operations of conglomerates and growing one of his own media and events company. His various stints have seen him in strategic planning, sales and general management; setting up/transformation through supply chain management and solutions with best of breed information technology and increasing business volume through international marketing networks. with the various assignments. Amassing his wealth of experience Dasty has taken on his latest challenge in the hardware industry to lead Macson’s into the new decade. Dasty is an MBA alumnus of the London Metropolitan University and is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
TYRONNE VALENCIA
Director Sales and Marketing
A long-standing member of the team, Tyronne Valencia accounts for 35 years of experience in the domain of sales and marketing specializing in the hardware industry with largescale conglomerates. Since joining in 2001, he has been instrumental in the setting up of the proven island wide distribution network of Macson and heads the overall operations of sales and marketing in maintaining and strengthening its majority market share.
